Description Designed in Lanzarote This oxidised silver ring, partially polished to a high shine, is part of the universe we have created at famaraspirit inspired by sea urchins. A universe of its own that also includes bracelets, pendants and earrings in different finishes and sizes with the figure of the sea urchin. Sea urchin shells captivate us. So we couldn’t resist exploring their shapes and reproducing them in this ring. Sea urchins are indicators of the purity of coastal waters and are seriously endangered by human pollution of our oceans. This jewellery, as well as paying homage to the beauty found in nature, is a call to action: for all of us to take responsibility for protecting our environment. This piece has been designed in our workshop in Famara in an environmentally friendly process. We use certified materials of the highest quality. Just like the sea urchin skeletons treasured on the seabed for millions of years, we would like our pieces to stand the test of time without obeying fashions or programmed obsolescence.
