The Way of St Cuthbert

Journey with Dr Jason Baxter and a group of Benedictine College students as they walk the 65-mile ‘Way of St Cuthbert.’ The team are accompanied by Canon Marcus Holden and Daniel Catone, as they walk the pilgrim route from Melrose, Scotland, to Lindisfarne Island on the Northumberland coast. Throughout the journey they consider the life of St Cuthbert, the history of the area, and his influence in the life of the Church during the 7th century and beyond. Along the way they explore the dramatic beauty of the landscape, imagining what it would have been like for St Cuthbert and the people of that time. The trip ends with a visit to Durham Cathedral – the final resting place and burial site of St Cuthbert.

Beyond Eden

From the beginning of creation, God has willed a unique and irreplaceable feminine identity in the world and for salvation history. In the Gospels, women are at the centre of the story. From Mary, the perfect model of faith, to the holy women at the foot of the cross, to the great saints throughout the centuries.

In considering religious life, marriage, and the single life in mission, this film explores the vocations of women in the Church today, their distinctive gifts, unique paths to holiness, and their vital role.

Christ Contemplated

Throughout the centuries, sacred art has drawn people to a deeper appreciation and understanding of Christian teaching and theology. In this film, Fr Marcus Holden and Dr Teresa Lane visit the National Gallery in London to consider how the greatest artists have depicted Jesus Christ. With exclusive access to the paintings they have chosen twelve masterpieces, from different periods and places, each of which reveal a unique facet of the mystery of Christ. From the Annunciation to the Resurrection, this film journeys through some of the key moments of Christ’s life gaining insight and inspiration from the paintings. Includes free Study Guide.

In Persona Christi: The Catholic Priesthood

The Catholic priesthood comes to us from Jesus Christ. He is the High Priest, the mediator between God and man. Building on the pattern of priesthood from Old Testament times, Jesus chose twelve men to act in His place as priests of the new and everlasting covenant.

This film explores the essential nature and theology of the sacred priesthood, the importance of a deep prayer life, the centrality of the Mass and Eucharistic Adoration, devotion to the Blessed Virgin, priestly fatherhood and celibacy, and the necessity of a missionary zeal.

Commentary and insights are provided by numerous priests, as they reflect on their own calling and consider what it means to act “In Persona Christi”. Featuring Bishop Mark Davies, Fr Hugh Allan, Fr Marcus Holden, Fr Andrew Pinsent, Fr John Saward, Fr Lawrence Lew, Fr Paschal Uche, Fr Behruz Raf’at, Fr Toby Lees, and Fr Matt Roche-Saunders.

St Anthony’s is a rare Catholic family organisation, where the Catholicity, courtesy, kindness and efficiency is guaranteed every time. The perfect example of what a Catholic business should be where the spreading of the faith is the prime motive.
