The advantages of the digital design over the classic tube principle are many: At just under 9kg, the Tone Master is about 6kg lighter than its tube equivalent. The rotary switch on the back can be used to select different output powers. For example, reduced to 0.3 watts, a wonderful distortion can be achieved without deafening volume. The XLR DI-out on the rear panel is used to record directly to a computer via an audio interface or to connect the amp to PA speakers on large stages. No tubes means low maintenance. The sound of the Tonemaster Princeton Reverb is very close to the original. Especially in the clean and slightly overdriven, it is quite convincing.
