Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, established in 1958 in Denmark, has housed exhibitions with some of the most renowned international artists, presenting an exhibition programme that has resonated strongly with the public for over 6 decades. The Louisiana Poster Collection is recognized among art enthusiasts worldwide and grace the walls in homes across the globe. It highlights artwork by a wide range of artists, designers and architects that have been presented at the museum and reproduces pieces that are part of its vast and ever-growing Louisiana Collection. This is a poster with the work Louisiana (1996), by the German photographer Wolfang Tillmans. Tillmans captured the moment with his special sensibility when he was visiting the museum in connection with the exhibition, NowHere. Two boys bathe just by museum. Summer days near Øresund, everything seems so carefree, innocent. But is something still lurking on the horizon..? In Tillmann’s photographic work there is a variation between portraits, reportage, still life, landscape photography and darkroom experiments with the use of light, paper and liquids.
